Special Theme & Topics of Interest

The Special Theme for ECCE 2024 in Paris is Towards a sustainable and participatory future and we will be calling for contributions on topics along the following general topics.

Submission and Publishing Information

Papers must be submitted through an online platform, here.
All submissions should be written in English and authors should anonymized their papers. 
Submissions should be written in English, formatted following the ACM template, anonymized and converted to a valid PDF format prior to submission. 


Papers will be peer-reviewed by three reviewers (double blind). All accepted papers (long, short and work-in-progress) will be published in ECCE 2024 proceedings, made available to all attendees, and should be published by ACM International Conference Proceedings Series and disseminated through ACM Digital Library.
A selection of long papers will be published in the Behaviour & Information Technology (BIT) journal (impact factor 2022: 3.7), in a revised and enhanced version. 

One author per accepted paper is required to register and attend the conference to guarantee publication in the proceedings.

 

Submission Categories
 

Long & short papers

For ECCE 2024 we invite authors to submit novel research contributions and innovative applications related to the conference topics. Long papers must not exceed 10 pages, including all sections, references, and possible appendices. Short papers should present smaller scale research, and must not exceed 6 pages, including all sections, references, and possible appendices. Papers must be original and not simultaneously submitted to another journal or conference. Presentations time slots during the conference will be different for short and long papers.

The deadline for long papers submissions is April 18, and notification of acceptance will be on June 3.

 

Short papers

Short papers present novel contributions in a smaller scale than long papers.

Work-in-Progress papers

We are inviting Work in Progress papers, which present new contributions for which the research work has not yet been completed. This means that, for example, papers can be published where only a basic prototype has been developed so far, only a preliminary user study or none at all has been conducted, or which outline concepts and prospects for the planned research. Work in Progress papers should be no longer than 6 pages (including references).

The deadline for work-in-progress submissions is May 15, and notification of acceptance will be on June 3.

Posters

It is possible to present ongoing research through a poster. A specific session will be dedicated to informal discussions around the posters during the conference. The submission is done through a 2-pages paper summarizing the research to be presented. Formatting instructions for posters will be sent to the accepted authors. Posters will be printed by their authors.   
The deadline for poster submissions is
Mai 15, and notification of acceptance will be on June 3.


Workshops

ECCE is glad to support workshop organization. Workshops aims to gather people small group, preferably in an « active format ». The workshops can be any full day or half day and will take place on Tuesday October 8. The suggested topics should be related to the aforementioned themes. Important note for Word users

In contrast to the information given on the ACM web pages, we do not distinguish between the review and accepted in the formatting. Therefore, please submit the paper as described by ACM in the Instructions for Applying the Primary Article Template.
